Save the planet, kill the humans

There is now no question about the ultimate goal of the radical environmentalists. The environmental reporter for the New York Times recently advocated giving carbon credits to couples that limit themselves to one child. President Obama’s lunatic director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy wants the FCC to force radio and television stations to air advertisements for “the population-resource-environment crisis.” Make no mistake, the primary goal with the radical dirt people is population control.
The patron saint of the global warming movement, Al Gore, long an advocate for population control, has four children. His eldest daughter has three children. The other three haven’t started reproducing yet but it’s doubtful they’ll be limiting themselves to one child, either.
To understand this obsession with population control one must first understand the mindset behind it. As Dr. John Christy, the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2001 lead author told me, “There is a belief that, basically, human beings are bad for the planet. We’re a virus on the planet. So, if you take that as your assumption to start with then whatever humans do is bad.”
Yes, in their eyes, we’re a virus. A virus that must be eliminated. Mr. Holdren, Obama’s science guy, suggests that populations could be controlled by introducing infertility drugs into the nation’s water or food supply. He’s also suggested a “Planetary Regime” to control the global economy and force population control on us.
He’s not the only nutcase bending the ear of the world’s powerful. Jonathon Porritt, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s “green advisor,” warned that the U.K. must cut its population in half in order to build a “sustainable” society. (The dirt people love that word) That means cutting the population by some 30 million people. Not sure how he intends to do that unless he’s planning on cranking up Hitler’s ovens. Mr. Porritt is part of the Optimum Population Trust (OPT), which advocates everyone “stop at two” children in order “to achieve environmentally sustainable population levels.”
What these people envision for our future is downright frightening. Population police with unbridled authority to dictate every facet of your life. Forced sterilizations and abortions. It would be nothing less than utter and total control over your life.
What’s interesting about a lot of these population control freaks is they’re the same folks who tell us “no person is illegal” and push for amnesty for illegal aliens. For those who truly believe the United States is overpopulated, I have a way to reduce our population by 12 to 20 million overnight. And it doesn’t involve forced abortions or forced sterilizations. It’s by simply enforcing our immigration laws and ejecting the illegal aliens who have invaded our country. They want none of that because their worldview is so schizophrenic that they’re impossible to understand.
But understand this: control, ultimately, is the goal of the loony left, in general. Whether it’s healthcare reform or cap-and-trade or raising taxes, it’s all about the control. You see, with control they can reshape this country in their image; an image of an anti-capitalist, socialist utopia. A world in which the global wealth is redistributed from the producers to the non-producers. A world in which hard work and ingenuity are discouraged and collectivism is king.
Most people who buy into the whole global warming hoax are well-intentioned people who simply want to “save the planet.” I, too, want to save the planet. I want to save it from these crazy people who are bent on destroying it by relegating capitalism and freedom to the ash bin of history.
