Kerry's
'October Surprise' turns out to be a bunch of 'al Qaqaa.'
It
was supposed to be the story that brought down the Bush
campaign. CBS and the New York Times conspired
to spring this "October Surprise" on the American people.
Instead, they made President Bush's case that Saddam
did have weapons of mass destruction and they were removed
before the U.S. troops arrived. Click here

Kerry
Supporters Stoop to New Low with Outrageous Anti-Bush
Flier
As
first reported on The Phil Valentine Show on October
11, 2004, the Lauderdale County, Tennessee Democratic
Party headquarters distributed a flier mocking a Special
Olympics runner. The flier showed the runner with
President Bush's face superimposed on the child with
the caption, "Voting for Bush is Like Running in the
Special Olympics. Even If You Win, You're Still Retarded."
Callers to the Valentine show were outraged and families
with mentally disabled children called for action against
the party.

NAACP
Registering Voters at Nashville Jail
The
local chapter of the Nashville NAACP scraped the bottom
of the barrel in their efforts to turn out the vote for
John Kerry. In a story that broke on The Phil Valentine
Show, NAACP workers made several visits to the Nashville
jail in order to register inmates to vote. Although
legal, Valentine called the practice "a desperate attempt
to elect John Kerry by any means necessary."

Who
but the FCC should decide?
Phil's
take on the recent FCC crackdown on talk radio
Column
in Talkers Magazine
The
recent FCC crackdown on talk radio was all the buzz at
the recent New Media Seminar in New York. From the podium
in the theater to private discussions around dinner tables,
everyone had an opinion. Most were horrified that the
FCC has come down on Howard Stern and feared it would
bleed over into more mainstream talk. They claimed the
government had no right to limit free speech on the radio.
However, when I inquired if they thought the F-word should
be allowed, to a person, they thought it should be banned.

Valentine Returns to WTN!
The common sense drought is over. Phil Valentine returns
to the birthplace of The Phil Valentine Show, SuperTalk
99.7WTN in Nashville. After weeks of speculation, WTN
announced that Valentine is taking over the 9AM-1PM slot.
Johnny B, Valentine's producer/sidekick returns, as well.
"This is where it all began for me 9 years ago, almost
to the day," Valentine said. He began on July 10,
1995. "Ironically, the building now occupied by WTN
is where I worked for over 10 years. It's good to come
home." Valentine's special brand of humor, conservative
talk and hot topic issues fits nicely between Steve Gill
Mornings and The Dave Ramsey Show. "I'm excited about
the lineup," Valentine said. "We have something
for everyone at WTN. There's no need to go anywhere else."
