The American Hiroshima

July 22, 2005

On July 22, London was, once again, rocked by terrorism. This time, police got the upper hand. They arrested several suspects. In one incident, police officers opened fire on a suspected terrorist who turned out not to be a terrorist. The Muslim Council of Britain immediately complained that London police had an apparent “shoot to kill” policy when it came to Muslims. The group demanded the police “explain why the man was shot dead.”

Let me try to tackle that question. The man was shot dead because he was running from police. The man was shot dead because he jumped on a train after running from police. The man was shot dead because he was acting like a terrorist !

In today's world, we don't have the luxury of calmly asking a perp why he's running. Were I to run past a security checkpoint at the airport I should expect a bullet in my back. If police are restrained in such matters there's no telling how many people will be lost because of this politically correct attitude, not just in England but here.

Not long ago we reported a story on the radio from WorldNetDaily that described a startling discovery right here in the United States. It's a master plan by al Qaeda to annihilate millions of Americans. It's called the “American Hiroshima” and entails the detonation of multiple nuclear weapons in the United States. That's impossible, you say. There's no way terrorists could smuggle nuclear weapons into this country. According to captured al Qaeda leaders and seized documents, they already have. WorldNetDaily reported that al Qaeda had enlisted the help of the notorious Latino street gang, MS-13, to smuggle the weapons over the Mexican border. Not only are they planning to set off their own nuclear weapons already smuggled into the U.S., military sources told WorldNetDaily there is evidence to suggest al Qaeda is paying former Russian special forces Spetznaz to assist the terrorist group in locating nuclear weapons hidden inside the U.S. years ago by the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

This has not been widely reported.

This terrifying news is confirmed in an upcoming book, “The Al Qaeda Connection: International Terrorism, Organized Crime and the Coming Apocalypse," by Paul L. Williams, a former FBI consultant. Williams claims CIA Director George Tenet notified President Bush one month after September 11 that at least two suitcase nukes were in the hands of al Qaeda operatives inside the United States. “Each suitcase weighed between 50 and 80 kilograms (approximately 110 to 176 pounds) and contained enough fissionable plutonium and uranium to produce an explosive yield in excess of two kilotons,” Williams wrote in his book. Bush went ballistic, according to Williams, and ordered his national security team to give nuclear terrorism priority. He ordered the construction of underground bunkers away from major metropolitan areas for use by federal government officials in the event of an attack. However, Bush's policy never translated into locking down the U.S.-Mexican border where the weapons entered this country.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we have to secure our borders. Moreover, we have to insist that anyone in this country from a terrorist-sponsored state who is not a citizen must leave until we've sorted all this out. Is that profiling? Yes. Profiling is a necessary and effective police tool. It's being stripped away by the politically correct. Will profiling offend some people? Perhaps. But I'd much rather run the risk of offending a handful of people than seeing millions dead at the hands of nuclear terrorists.

It's time to wake up out there.
