Candlelight
Vigil
The Federation
for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) is sponsoring a candlelight
vigil in front of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's Nashville
office, Friday January 27, 2006 at 5:30pm. The 'Save
The American Worker' vigil is not a protest against
Senator Frist but a reminder that Americans are watching
the United States Senate and we expect them to pass the
House version of immigration reform passed in December.
The Senate is considering several
different versions of reform. It is highly possible
that a guest worker/amnesty program will be included in
the Senate version. This is unacceptable. A
guest
worker/amnesty program would forgive millions of illegal
aliens for breaking the law and encourage millions more
to do the same thing. It has been tried on several
different occasions, each time with the same disastrous
results.
Illegal
immigration costs American taxpayers billions of dollars
every year. It's time Congress passed comprehensive
legislation that will begin to roll back to never-ending
tide of illegal immigration.
Join Minuteman
Project co-founder Chris Simcox and me for a call-to-action
on this very important issue.
Thanks,
Phil Valentine
